Jacob Roland, EI, Staff Engineer

Jacob has four years of industry experience managing geophysical data acquisition, QA/QC, and analytics operations.  Jacob joined UMS in 2018 after working as an engineer in the oil and gas industry for four years.  His experience includes rediscovery and re-entry of unmarked and abandoned facilities to comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.  Jacob’s background makes him keenly aware of the cost savings associated with proper data management.  Since joining UMS he has focused on helping clients improve utility data management practices in compliance with ASCE/CI 38-02. Jacob works as a lead on our Ground Penetrating Radar data interpretation team, in addition to acting as a liaison with our clients in the Southeastern US region.
